Haile Gebrselassie, unquestionably the greatest, most versatile distance runner in world history has sent the Jogging for Georges team a message of support for our upcoming challenge. All four of us were hugely humbled to receive the letter from such a legend and it's certainly spurred us on to work harder for the race. Thanks Haile!
Dear Ben, Andy, Kieren and Elliott,
I wanted to write and say Good Luck for this huge challenge you have taken on to support your friend Nick and St George's Hospital.
The next 4 months will be incredibly tough but the key ingredient is in the mind. You have to have three things: discipline, commitment and hard work in order to succeed.
And for the physical side - well you should be training in the hills of Entoto in Ethiopia with me!
One of the secrets is to accept the pain. Without pain, no gain.
Good Luck and I look forward to watching your progress on your blog.
Haile
